Therapists for college students near Philadelphia, PA
Hi, I’m Rich. I’m an experienced counselor who offers a grounded, experiential approach to therapy and coaching. My work is shaped by both clinical training and real-world learning; offering a perspective that integrates mindfulness based interventions, existential exploration, nature-based interventions, and embodied practices. I enjoy working with individuals transitioning to adulthood, students, and adults who are seeking an alternative to traditional talk therapy. My own path has been strongly influenced by my personal and professional time spent outdoors. In wilderness settings, I’ve seen firsthand how facing challenges, building trust, and stepping into the unknown can lead to meaningful transformation. These experiences inform how I support clients as they navigate life’s complexities, transitions, and obstacles. I believe strongly in the power of the here and now. Together, we’ll explore your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in a way that feels collaborative, present-centered, and supportive. Utilizing mindfulness based, behavioral, goal driven, and existential approaches, I aim to help you cultivate self-awareness, resilience, and a deeper sense of well-being. Seeking help is a courageous step, and I look forward to walking alongside you as you find your own path toward healing and growth.
I specialize in working with young adults navigating anxiety/depression, grief, family of origin issues, relationship stress, trauma (old and new) and self confidence concerns. I am certified in Mental Health Integrative Practices and lean towards the most holistic, natural methods of healing and wellness. I tailor my approach to each individuals' needs and consider the entire person (mind, body, spirit, energy, etc.). Every person has the incredible ability to change, grow, and heal and sometimes it's easier to do that with someone's support and perspective. If you're ready to grow in your self-awareness and develop behaviors that serve you positively in your life, reach out and let's get started!
If you feel like you’re stuck in limbo—waiting for your "real life" to start while constantly getting in your own way—you are exactly where you need to be. Life transitions, relationships, and past events can be complicated. We all have those patterns—the ones where we know we're self-sabotaging, but we do it anyway. Whether it’s messy relationships, past stuff that keeps popping up, or the overwhelming stress of being a young adult in a chaotic world, you don't have to piece it together alone. Some days you might need a roadmap and direct advice; other days, you just need a safe space to sit with the big, scary questions. If you’re looking for a mix of humor, directness, and a partner to help you navigate, let's talk. I specialize in helping people explore the "in-between" stages of life and processing the heavy stuff that holds them back. LGBTQ+ affirming and provide gender affirming care letters. New openings available for June 2026! Stop overthinking it and take the first step. Self Schedule a FREE 15 min consult by clicking my website link!

This allows us to create a comfortable environment for clients while ensuring consistent, high-quality care. 1. Always Caring. We approach every interaction with empathy and compassion. 2. Remain Committed. We're dedicated to providing consistent, high-quality care for every client. 3. Be Inspiring. We encourage growth and positive change in both our clients and our team. 4. Forever Growing. We continually evolve our practice to better serve our community. Our approach focuses on providing a private practice atmosphere without the impersonal aspects sometimes found in larger clinical settings. This creates a warm, welcoming environment where healing can truly take place.
I work best with students who feel pulled in different directions—academics, friendships, family, work—and are trying to keep up while feeling exhausted on the inside. Many of my clients are navigating ADHD, complicated family dynamics, or relationship stress. Some feel pressure to be “strong” or “put together,” even when they’re struggling. If you want support in understanding yourself better, building healthier boundaries, or feeling more grounded day to day, I’m here to help.

From school to work to relationships with friends and family, there is always a lot to juggle, and stress can build up quickly! I have always enjoyed connecting with people and learning about their experiences. I knew I wanted to go into the field when I was a senior in high school. From that point on, my education and training have centered on being the best therapist I can be. I have worked in hospitals, schools, and mental health agencies to gain a variety of experiences and expertise. From working in different settings, I knew I had a natural inclination to help my clients feel at ease and make therapy not only helpful but enjoyable.Since I have experienced therapy, I know what it is like to be on the other side. I appreciate a nonjudgmental approach with kindness and humor sprinkled in at the appropriate times. I believe therapy does not have to be serious all the time. Growth comes from support, understanding, and compassion.
To live is to suffer; to survive is to find meaning in the suffering (Neitzsche). We would never be able to experience our joy had we not of grown through our pain.
