I founded Saltaire Psychology PLLC because I believe everyone can use a little help dealing with the chaotic moments in life, including breakups, medical issues, or deaths of loved oneer. I’m here to help you get through those difficult moments and grow from them. The key to building a strong therapeutic relationship is being genuine, providing unconditional support, and showing empathy, and that’s what I try to caaaprovide in my practice. My integrative approach utilizes humanistic, existential, psychodynamic, and cognitive-behavioral techniques. I completed my Ph.D. at Fordham University and my internship/post-doctoral training at the Brooklyn VA. I have worked with diverse patients with a wide range of concerns including life transitions, relationship distress, cancer, chronic illness, insomnia, caregiver distress, anxiety, depression, and trauma. I don’t believe that everyone needs to stay in therapy for years and years. Sometimes all you need is a few sessions with a professional. Whether the problems are short-term or long-term, big or small, we can work through them together.

My name is Savi and I’m a licensed clinical social worker in private practice. I have a particular interest in working with students as much of my clinical experience is in working with people in their teens and early 20’s who are going through the big life changes that happen at these times. There is so much to navigate during this time in life with academic demands, becoming more independent from our families, and starting new relationships. There are many reasons we are drawn to start therapy, but I find it is often because we are struggling with difficult feelings related to these things that we may not understand and don’t know how to get rid of. I think it’s important that you have a safe place to talk about these feelings and for us to begin to understand what is underneath them.

Welcome to Behr Psychology! We are a collective of caring, insightful, and authentic psychologists and therapists in NYC. We know how scary it can be to seek therapy for the first time. Finding a good therapist that you click with can be difficult. We applaud you for taking the first step and are committed to making your therapy experience a positive and reparative one. We provide a safe space to work through the mental health challenges you are facing. Whether you are seeking therapy for anxiety, depression, or couples therapy, we can help match you with the right therapist for your needs. ~ Most people seek therapy when they are unhappy with one or more aspects of their lives. Whether you are struggling with work, love, family or self – you might be wondering, what will really help? I believe that understanding yourself is a great gift and a power. We as people are complicated beings. It takes effort and focused attention to parse out our complexity. It takes will and bravery to face ourselves; our lives, our pasts, presents and futures. It also takes intention to appreciate our strengths and recognize the areas that need strengthening. In my practice, I will help you to discover what aspects of your current life and functioning are working well and what aspects no longer serve you. Together we will explore what you want, why you want, the obstacles in your way and how to overcome them. We start where you are and work on your goals, paying special attention to your evolution over the course of treatment. My goals, as your therapist are to gently facilitate your growth and to create a warm, sincere and safe environment that fosters trust, honesty, openness and authenticity. ~ Our clinicians do not sit back and stare at you blankly. We do not judge you. We are committed to creating a comfortable environment that fosters vulnerability and openness. We will actively help you to process your emotions and experiences and provide you with coping skills along the way. We do not provide that blank-stare judgmental type of therapy because we do not want that type of therapy. We are not cold, stuffy, or old-fashioned. Our highly skilled NYC-based therapists and psychologists work collaboratively and actively with you to achieve your goals and find relief from suffering.
Anna Lucille Calabrese is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a keen interest in the human drive to create meaning from the raw material of our lives. Dually trained in clinical social work and theology, Anna’s practice is grounded in mind, body, spirit integration. She draws her approach from many sources including Depth Psychology, Narrative Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy and Internal Family Systems. Anna provides individual, couples and group therapy. At their core, Anna views all these modalities as relational experiences— providing form and structure that allow clients to deepen the sacred relationship to self and others. Some of her areas of focus include complex trauma, somatic experiencing, emotional regulation, addiction in its many forms, divorce and life transitions, coparenting, the LGBTQIA community, eating disorders and chronic illness. Through all of these areas, and following her client’s lead, Anna brings a creative lens to therapeutic work—often intertwining art, writing, movement, nature, film and music into the healing process. She is also interested in helping clients create ceremony and ritual around the liminal spaces in their lives— be it professional transition, the start and end of relationships, birth and death, or recovery from addiction. Anna holds a BA in Creative Writing from the New School, a Masters of Divinity from Union Theological Seminary and a Masters of Social Work from Columbia University. She has worked as a Chaplin in a hospital, a counselor on Rikers Island and with Buddhist monks on end of life care. Through all these experiences, Anna draws on a simple truth: people desire to make meaning of their lives—no matter the circumstance.
