Welcome! I am a clinical psychologist and drama therapist, seeing individuals and couples in New York. I work with adults and teens ages 15+. Clients I work with are often seeking to reduce distress, trust themselves more, and feel more equipped in their life journeys. A primary aim of treatment is to increase self-awareness and connection to the body, freeing a more expansive self, and allowing old patterns and obstacles (i.e. emotional avoidance, self-criticism) to melt away. Therapy can help reveal how your past is impacting your present, which often leads to self-compassion, and healing and change in the present. Perhaps you are wanting to feel more comfortable with the unknown, whether that be challenging emotions, uncertainty about the future, or existential questions, like what is the meaning of my one precious life? We are living through uncertain times collectively and individually, and therapy with me is a space where these questions are welcomed. I believe the therapeutic relationship is at the heart of healing, and I show up in the room with warmth and authenticity. My approach is integrative. I have advanced training in an attachment-based psychodynamic approach called Interpersonal Reconstructive Therapy, and in experiential, creative, somatic-based approaches including drama therapy and internal family systems. I also practice mindfulness and am an artist myself, and this informs the work I do. My approach is person-centered, which means I adapt treatment based on the unique individual(s) I am sitting with. I have extensive experience in working with LGBTQ+ clients, those with a history of trauma, folks navigating illness, and other healers and artists. I am part of Mount Sinai Health Partners, and remain involved in training of doctoral trainees at Mount Sinai. I am presently on the faculty of the NYU Masters in Drama Therapy program, and was previously an Assistant Professor in the Psychiatry Department at Mount Sinai. I have worked and trained in hospitals, including in adult and adolescent transgender healthcare, in outpatient centers, Veterans hospitals, and counseling centers.

College is a time of enormous adjustments, especially for students who identify as LGBTQIA+. Alongside the pressures to be successful academically, there are numerous personal challenges to navigate in terms of sex and sexuality, relationships, identity, social communities, and drug and alcohol use. In my work with queer college students, we take the time to understand the unique challenges of this time for you in particular, and I work to cultivate your abilities to meet these challenges with resourcefulness and creativity. We also work to bring you into greater awareness of the unconscious features of your mind, in order to know yourself better and to resolve deep-rooted conflicts.

My philosophy of therapy is collaborative and holistic, and I aim to meet my clients where they’re at to inspire change. I am most passionate about working with queer people who have difficulty being fully authentic. We can work together to dismantle the stories and systems that have impacted this and cultivate greater self-compassion and self-awareness in who you are. In therapy with me, my clients feel seen and encouraged to show up as their authentic selves. As a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, my expertise is in relationships and seeing things through a systemic lens. I have experience working with folks with anxiety or depression that can interrupt their ability to live a full life, sometimes facing unsteady relationships and hoping for more security. Together, we can work to make sense of difficult relationships, own and advocate for your feelings and needs in relationships, and identify and set boundaries with others. My experience is in working with teens and adults in the context of individual, couples, or family therapy.
I am passionate about providing expert, compassionate care to children, adolescents, and young adults struggling with eating and weight disorders, emotion dysregulation, anxiety, depression, self-injurious behaviors, suicidal ideation, and personality disorders. With extensive training in evidence-based treatments, including CBT, DBT, and FBT, I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs, helping them build resilience, develop effective coping strategies, and achieve meaningful, lasting change. Most recently, I served as the Director of the Intensive Program at the Center of Excellence in Eating & Weight Disorders at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, where I co-developed a specialized young adult track for college students requiring a higher level of outpatient care. I am committed to staying at the forefront of research and treatment advancements. If you or your loved one are seeking expert, evidence-based care in a supportive and collaborative environment, I would be honored to work with you.
I believe that therapy, with a therapist who can help you feel safe, secure and seen, can restore our inherent joy, curiosity, creativity, and connectedness, which are often impaired or lost altogether as a result of trauma or past attachment wounds. I am a relational therapist and specialize in exploring patterns that come from our families of origin, relationships with ourselves, with our friends, romantic partners, and children, as well as relationships with food and substances. I tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs by incorporating modalities such as Internal Family Systems, psychodynamic psychotherapy, somatic work, CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. Regardless of approach, what is transformative in therapy occurs in the relational dynamic.

TriBeCa Therapy is a center for psychotherapy that was founded on the assumption that human beings are original, imaginative, inspired, and inventive. We particularly love our work with young adults and college students and are connected to issues they deal with. Issues related to sex and dating, drugs and drinking, depression and anxiety and academic pressures aren’t topics that will freak us out. We can handle it. College students frequently discuss with us challenges such as: making friends in ways that don’t involve alcohol, making friends as a person of color, navigating social situations that demand connecting with strangers (like in the cafeteria) and finding “their people.” We work to create a partnership that takes these challenges on together, trying new strategies, taking increasingly bigger risks and dealing with the disappointments and celebrating the successes that follow. College is a time when many young adults are dealing with very adults issues like sex, sexual assault, eating disorders, substance abuse, managing money, race, class, and career choices. Creating a space where young adults feel comfortable talking about these issues is a strength of our therapists and a non-judgmental stance is key. The object isn’t to insist on a particular set of values or practices, but to support young people to understand what they are dealing with and to make active choices about who they want to be. Life can be chaotic, challenging and heartbreaking, but among all of that, beautiful and awe-inspiring. If you’re reading this, maybe you’ve already read a few of these therapist bios by now, but if you’re feeling alone in life’s big questions then look no further. I take a curious, yet “no-B.S.” stance as we explore life’s intricacies and curve-balls together in the therapeutic process. My experience with adolescents, emerging adults and older adults has helped me create a flexible approach to meet my clients where they’re at. Whether I am working with you, your child, or your family, I strive to create a judgment-free zone for my clients to experience the most authentic version of themselves. I lean on a client-centered approach, meaning that I give my clients the space to be the expert in their own lives. Through mindfulness and dialectical behavioral therapy, I help my clients to practice gaining distance from overwhelming thoughts, feelings and emotions. That being said, I recognize that there is no “one size fits all” approach and I collaborate with my clients along every step of the journey. Showing up to therapy isn’t always easy, and I value the courage and vulnerability that it takes to invite someone into your inner world. Whether you’re struggling with anxiety, loneliness, OCD, depression, grief, heartbreak, or a case of “what does it all mean” you won’t be at it alone. Much like the contradictions we encounter in life, the work we will do together will be challenging yet rewarding. I’m currently accepting both virtual and in-person sessions and look forward to hearing from you!

She brings a decade of experience, and both systemic and psychodynamic training to help clients achieve meaningful change.
I believe therapy is a space to reconnect with yourself, with the parts that have been silenced, criticized, or forgotten. I see my role as someone who listens with deep care and genuine curiosity, while also supporting you as you explore how your experiences and emotions shape your journey through life. Together, we will create a space where all parts of you are welcome and where healing and meaningful change can begin to take root. I welcome all clients and especially value working with those from LGBTQ+, BIPOC, immigrant, and international student communities. My approach mainly draws from CBT and person-centered frameworks while always centering cultural humility and curiosity. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all therapy. I will meet you where you are, and together we will find what works for you, whether that is building practical tools, unpacking old patterns, or simply having a space to be heard. Feel free to reach out any questions you might have!
It is normal facing change to experience confusion, anger, anxiety, depression, or self-doubt. From loss to relationship issues, I am passionate about helping young adults navigate complex life transitions. College is a transition for everyone, and you’re not alone if you’re struggling to find yourself during this period. In our work together, I will help you uncover inner strength, clarity, and purpose to find a path forward. I work with a range of issues, specializing in grief, illness, women’s health, cancer, and relationships & attachment. It is my honor to guide people through exploring inner narratives, addressing childhood wounds, transforming limiting beliefs, and strengthening relationships. Therapy with me is relational, collaborative, and relatable. My approach also touches on the mind-body connection, and I have training in ecotherapy. I enjoy helping people find and embrace the intersections of nature, the outdoors, and movement with mental health. Guided by radical acceptance and compassion, I believe therapy is a shared journey of self-discovery. Welcome to Full Spectrum. We are a multidisciplinary group of therapists who provide affirming and holistic psychotherapy for young people and adults. Our therapists all have creative arts therapy backgrounds and weave art-making, drama, movement, music, writing and other creative modalities into traditional talk therapy. Our team practices trauma-informed care and specializes in work with transgender and nonbinary communities, although all are welcome.
The students I work best with are curious, thoughtful, and often in a period of deep self-questioning. Many are figuring out who they are, what they believe, and what kind of life they want to build. Some have experimented with psychedelics and are left with big questions afterward about meaning, identity, emotions, or reality itself. They want support in making sense of those experiences in a grounded, non-judgmental way. I also work well with students who feel alone or disconnected, especially when that feeling traces back to childhood experiences, family dynamics, or early trauma. These students may struggle with anxiety, sadness, shame, or a sense that they don’t quite belong. Therapy with me is a space to slow down, feel understood, and explore what’s coming up without pressure to have it all figured out.
