Hey there! I'm Aaliyah Nurideen, a licensed clinical social worker in Washington DC, New Jersey and Maryland. As a Black woman, I'm all about creating spaces where we can heal and grow together. Trust me, it's revolutionary stuff! At Ashé Mental Health and Wellness Space, we're not just talking, we're making moves. Our sessions are all about empowering you with the energy and tools to take control of your life and find what works for YOU. We start with a simple question: "What's your intention for yourself in this space?" Then we work together to turn those thoughts and ideas into real, actionable behaviors. It's time to slow down, get present, and show yourself some love and patience. My mission? I'm here to: -Create a judgment-free zone for all your feelings (because life can be messy AF) -Hold your virtual hand when we tackle the tough stuff (about you, others and the world) -Get curious about what's holding you back from living your best life -Clock your strengths and skills (especially when you're struggling to see them) -Help you come up with game plans when life throws you curveballs. All of this is to help you live YOUR version of a peaceful, connected life.

It is my belief and practice that we are more than our limited thinking minds. If you have tried other traditional therapies and find them lacking, you may find my Transpersonal , Jungian, and Mindfulness-based Cognitive Behavioral approach to be of benefit. The transpersonal is defined as "experiences in which the sense of identity, or self, extends beyond the individual or personal to encompass greater meaning. This can include exploring non ordinary states of consciousness. Licensed in MD, VA, DC, FL, DE, VT and WV. I have expertise in the integration of Eastern and Western psychotherapies and philosophies with modern psychodynamic principles, Non-Dual approaches, and contemplative and meditative practices. This approach encompasses the mind, body, & spirit. It is my experience that a persons deeper beliefs (what I call Meta-principles) determine life experiences. My integrative practice includes life coaching, altered states work, psychotherapy, meditation instruction, hypnotherapy, neurofeedback training, and mindfulness based treatment. TELE-THERAPY is available through my HIPAA compliant video therapy room. . View my website for further information. www.INSITEintegrative.com
I believe that the overall health of a person depends on their physical, emotional, spiritual, and social wellbeing- an integrated mind & body perspective. My approach focuses on supporting you to use constructive and healthy ways to better manage challenges life sometimes presents. Through our work together, we will identify your internal strengths and build both skills and tools that will help improve your sense of self and your relationships, as well as increase your overall quality of life. I am aware of the whole person as I engage in the therapeutic process of change, healing, and growth.
Hi, I'm Emilee and I am glad you are here! I work with folks who experience some of the following: - Feeling tired of starting a new diet - Experiencing shame & guilt around food - Folks who are wanting a more accepting relationship with their natural body size - Are in eating disorder recovery or struggling with disordered eating - Navigating the pregnancy and the postpartum About Emilee: I live in Virginia with my husband and our sassy bulldog, Stella. My choice to enter the field of nutrition originates from my personal journey of overcoming struggles with food and my commitment to challenging and deconstructing diet culture. I have worked in various levels of care for eating disorder recovery as a dietitian and clinical director. I grew up in rural Virginia and still get excited that I live close to a Target these days. When I am not seeing clients you can find me watching BRAVO TV, reading my Kindle, and going out for sushi. Philosophy & Approach: I use a Health at Every Size® (HAES) and Intuitive Eating framework. My approach is rooted in body neutrality, prioritizing overall well-being, without a focus on weight. Rather than fixating on numbers, I encourage fostering positive connections with food. My sessions are client-centered. You know your body best therefore I am here as a supporting hand. I founded Embrace Nutrition with the purpose of individuals having a safe and non-judgmental space to develop healthier relationships with food & their natural body size. I specialize in binge eating disorder but work with all diagnosis and eating challenges. My goal in our work together is for you to feel empowered. The constant messages from diet culture are exhausting and confusing. I take time to listen & learn so I can be a partner to you in this journey Embracing one's body, nourishment, and unique journey are fundamental principles that guide my approach as an eating disorder dietitian.

Ever feel like you're navigating through a fog when it comes to understanding your emotions, needs, or desires? Imagine a life where you truly connect with yourself and those around you, where past traumas become stepping stones to a brighter future. At Inclusive Therapy and Consulting Services LLC, we don't just offer therapy — we open doors to a transformative experience. Specializing in supporting the LGBTQ+ community, individuals living with HIV, and their allies, our mission is to bring you world-class psychotherapy that's not just compassionate but deeply tailored to your unique journey. Because everyone deserves a space where they're not just heard, but truly understood. I completed my Master's in Social Work from Columbia University, New York, in 2010. During my tenure in New York, I furthered my training with the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, emphasizing care for LGBTQ+ outpatient adults. Over the past twelve years, I've had the honor of working with a myriad of individuals and couples representing all gender expressions, sexual orientations, and diverse relationship configurations, including polyamory, consensual non-monogamy, kink, and BDSM. Before establishing my private practice, I dedicated four years as the Director of Behavioral Health, specializing in mental health care for those living with HIV/AIDS. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and psychotherapist, with over a decade of specialized clinical experience. As a queer-identified, trauma-informed, and sex-positive professional, my expertise lies in supporting individuals living with HIV, addressing substance use disorders, and working with a broad spectrum of relationship dynamics. I also offer dedicated services in sex therapy, as well as therapeutic interventions for trauma, anxiety, mood, and adjustment disorders. My therapeutic methodology is eclectic, integrating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Relational Therapy, and more. At the heart of my practice is the conviction that everyone has the right to lead an open, secure, and fulfilling life. Establishing wholesome relationships with oneself and with others is instrumental in embracing our most genuine selves.
Hello, I’m Alison. I help young adults who are overwhelmed, hopeless or anxious feel more in control and able to manage life's stressors and challenges. Some of the issues young adults have come to see me for include: relationship concerns, feelings of being overwhelmed, struggling to adapt to college or missing home, body image issues, life transitions, questions about gender/sexuality, and personal and family trauma. Trauma can include many things, such as relationship abuse, childhood abuse, illness, death, discrimination, and adoption issues. Using talk and somatic (body-oriented) therapy, as well as the expressive arts, I help clients connect to themselves and access resources to help them feel more at peace and in control of their lives. You will find me to be authentic, caring, and a dedicated support on your journey to healing. I bring compassion, mindfulness, and creativity to my work and consider it an honor to work with my clients. As a lifelong traveler who has lived in many places, I enjoy and value working with people from all walks of life. I look forward to meeting you.
The Sanctuary Care & Counseling Center is a counseling practice that aims to facilitate wellness through the integration of spirituality and mental health. This is done through ensuring that clients feel safe, supported, and are persistently reminded to extend themselves grace and self-compassion. In the Sanctuary clients are provided a safe space to discuss the complexities of "adulting", process their trauma, navigate grief, adjust to change and transitions, be vulnerable about their fears and insecurities, and express uncertainty and ambivalence about their faith stories. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to have it -" all together". We invite you to The Sanctuary, where we will partner with you as you strive to figure it out.

Life as a college student is supposed to be great, but at the end of the day it can really suck. Exams, studying, roommates, relationships, missing home - these are all things that can drive us crazy, not to mention any depression or anxiety that might have been hanging around before. And if you’re dealing with sexuality or gender identity issues, it can really feel difficult. If you’ve made it this far you’ve taken an awesome step towards figuring stuff out. It’s not easy to do, and therapy really can help with the right fit. Whether it’s LGBTQIA+ issues, dealing with a less than ideal roommate, or just figuring out what you want to do with your life, I’ve been there and want to help you through it too.

I believe in fostering a therapeutic relationship built on trust, empathy, and mutual respect. Collaboration will be at the heart of our work together. Therefore, I am committed to adapting my approach to align with your preferences and what you find most helpful. Your comfort and satisfaction are of utmost importance, and we will continuously reassess and refine our therapeutic strategies to ensure they resonate with you. Hello and welcome! Whether you’re stepping into parenthood, navigating relationship changes, or simply trying to find your footing again, it’s natural to feel unsteady along the way. I specialize in mental health support during life transitions with clients who are navigating stress, identity shifts, and relationship challenges. Many of my clients describe themselves as highly sensitive or as people who put others first. If that sounds like you—constantly giving, saying “yes” when you’d rather say “no,” or feeling guilty for needing care yourself—you’re not alone. Our work together will focus on quieting self-doubt, strengthening your confidence, and helping you feel like you again. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. We keep our work grounded and conversational, with space for both depth and laughter—because humor heals too. Reaching out takes courage, and even nurturers deserve care, compassion, and grace in a world not built for us. I look forward to working together!
