Therapists for college students near University of Texas at Austin
Hi there. I work with teens and adults through complex trauma, relationships, life transitions, grief, anxiety and depression (to name a few). I also work with the marginalized in our communities, BIPOC, disabled, persons with chronic/rare illness and LGBTQ+. My practice is open to all. If you are feeling stuck or unsure about your next steps, I can help. I practice by getting in touch with our nervous systems as we navigate life's hardships. I use emotionally focused therapy and some somatic work. Get in touch should you need an empathetic person to walk side by side with you or if you would like to gain skills to help communicate with others.

Welcome! I’m an individual and family therapist specializing in anxiety, depression, PMDD, relationship issues, and life transitions including adjustment to college. Within my practice, I offer a warm, collaborative space where it’s safe to bring your full self—your strengths, your stuck points, and the parts you’re still figuring out. I believe that when we feel safe enough in a therapeutic relationship to take risks and let down walls, we pave the way for insight and growth that lead to meaningful change.
Do you struggle with depressive moods or negative thoughts you wish you could just change or simply make go away? Wanting those dark thoughts to change, or hoping to run away from them, is completely normal. But avoiding those thoughts can leave us even more stressed, irritable, and disconnected from our loved ones. I promote compassion, honesty, and empowerment while working with clients who struggle with a range of issues, including anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I’m especially passionate about helping students, young adults, and LGBTQ+ individuals struggling with mood, personality, and eating disorders. Above all else, I’m focused on building a strong relationship with my clients, and I feel deeply privileged to be allowed into their lives. I make therapy a judgment-free zone where humor and warmth are a regular part of the process. My therapeutic approach is person-centered and allows each individual to guide their own recovery process. I can help you build upon the strengths you already have and develop even more coping skills for the various obstacles you may face. Ultimately, I strive to create a safe space for you to explore even the thorniest areas of your mental health journey. If you’re ready to make a change, give me a call today!
I work with clients who may be struggling with unresolved trauma, anxiety, depression and OCD. I specialize in working with clients who have experienced domestic violence and sexual assault. I have worked at hospitals, Intensive Outpatient Programs and private practice as a psychotherapist, clinical social worker and clinical supervisor. I have a relational approach and incorporate trauma and anxiety focused therapies including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). Additionally, I have a Postgraduate Certificate Program in Psychoanalytic Social Work Practice from UT Austin. I am also a board approved supervisor for clinical social workers working towards becoming fully licensed LCSWs. I strive to create a safe, supportive and empowering therapeutic space and work with clients collaboratively to help you to heal and grow.
I believe in the power of connecting past experiences to the present, while honoring culture, identity, and interconnectedness. I view therapy as a space where you can express yourself freely, reflect on experiences & how they shape you, and make the changes necessary to explore & embrace your authentic self in order to be the person you strive to embody. People often say I have a warm, welcoming energy that make difficult conversations feel comfortable. I value finding moments to incorporate laughter, while also "keeping it real"! I am genuinely curious about your story as I feel honored to be invited into your most vulnerable moments. I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals who are navigating challenges related to cultural & queer/trans identity, family of origin, life transitions, interpersonal challenges, generational trauma, and grief. I draw from a blend of approaches including IFS, Narrative, and attachment-based work to tailor our sessions to your unique needs. I have witnessed how life-changing the therapeutic space can be through my lived experience and seeing the power of connection in my work. If you are ready to explore your challenges or simply would like guidance towards growth, I invite you to reach out for a consultation! Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions you might have about therapy or my practice.
We offer trauma informed therapy for children, teens, and adults, in-person in South Austin, telehealth available to all Texas residents. I specialize in helping women in their 20s and 30s who are struggling with anxiety in relationships and sex, or those who are processing past sexual trauma or toxic relationships. Many of my clients notice patterns or traits within themselves which are impacting their relationships and intimacy, leaving them feeling disconnected and at a loss for what might help. In addition to my work with adults, I also enjoy working with children and adolescents (ages 3-18), especially those who are neurodivergent or highly sensitive. With a background as a Preschool Teacher, a Registered Behavior Technician working with children on the Autism Spectrum, and as a long-time babysitter, I am able to connect deeply with young people to help them feel understood. My personal experience growing up with undiagnosed ADHD, which manifested as an inability to regulate my emotions, extreme sensitivity, and emotional outbursts, informs this work. I approach this work as an opportunity to nurture my own inner child and offer the support I wish I’d had growing up. I utilize a client-centered, strengths-based approach to play therapy in order to help the children I work with feel safe to express themselves authentically. My approach is compassionate and trauma-informed, integrating Nervous System Regulation, Somatic Experiencing, Attachment Theory, and Trauma-Informed Care to help you rebuild trust in yourself and cultivate healthier relationships. My priority is to create a safe, supportive space where you feel comfortable exploring your emotions and experiences without judgment. In our work together, we’ll explore your past and present, identify patterns, and create a plan for healing.

The cause could be past unresolved trauma that is blocking your ability to move forward. Trauma changes the nervous system and brain; therefore, treatment needs to be able to address the body and mind.
