My therapeutic perspective is based on growing your strengths and building new skills that you haven’t yet recognized to address life stressors and challenges. I tailor my approach to the individual needs of each client and welcome feedback. As the expert on your own life, it’s important to know what’s working for you and what needs improvement so that we can effectively address issues important to you and meet goals together. I operate from a non-judgmental perspective and encourage clients to share the good, the bad, and the messy without fear of not meeting expectations.

Life has a way of surprising us — a loss, a betrayal, a diagnosis, or a path that no longer feels right. In these moments, it’s easy to feel unsteady or unsure how to move forward. I specialize in working with college students and young adults who are navigating these turning points and trying to find their footing again. With over 15 years of experience in counseling settings at Harvard and MIT, I offer a warm, supportive space where you can slow down, reflect, and feel understood. My approach is both insight-oriented and practical — helping you make sense of your experiences while building tools for meaningful change. Many of my clients are high-achieving individuals — often children of immigrants, or professionals in higher education and STEM — who appear put-together on the outside while quietly carrying stress, grief, or a sense that something isn’t quite working. If that sounds like you, I can help. Let's get started!

I provide a safe, non-judgemental space for students to discuss and explore their college experience. I teach mindfulness, breathing and relaxation skills to decrease anxiety and depression and increase feelings of confidence, self worth and self esteem. As a registered yoga teacher, I also incorporate yoga skills/philosophy into my sessions. My therapy dog Yogi is also often a big hit, especially during the stressful period of finals and exams.

If anxiety, substance use, or a difficult period of transition is making it harder to live the way you want to, psychotherapy can help. I work with young adults who want more than advice or a place to vent while a therapist sits back and nods. Imagine a therapy that makes no direct attempt to reduce symptoms, but achieves symptom reduction as a by-product. Our work is about changing your relationship with painful experience and helping you live more fully in line with your values. I provide in-person psychotherapy in Cambridge and telehealth across Massachusetts.

Some other areas of expertise of mine are working with individuals and couples dealing with depression/mood disorders, anxiety, stress management, relationship difficulties, substance abuse, trauma, and life transitions. I also enjoy providing supervision/consultation for therapists in training. My approach to therapy is rooted in relational & experiential therapy.I want my clients to know that they are not alone and that when working with me they have a place where they can be authentically themselves with no judgment. I use a sense of humor and bring to the session my true self and realness which makes space for transformation and lasting change. Fluent in Spanish, I have traveled extensively my entire life. I have lived in Caracas, Venezuela, Spain and England, and have traveled and lived in different parts of the United States. Having a world view has shaped me not only as an individual but as a psychotherapist and as someone who helps guide, motivate and encourage those I work with.

We all encounter difficult stressors, setbacks and experiences that sometimes cause us pain. We may be challenged by difficult transitions, our relationships, previous trauma, depression or anxiety. We can make the choice to work through these events and grow even when things are hard and confusing. My goal as a therapist is to provide a safe place for you to explore your struggles, and give you objective feedback and guidance to help you improve your life. Whether you'd like to improve your mood, strengthen relationships or need support coping with a difficult circumstance I can help. I work with young adults who have difficulty managing their emotions and who struggle with depression, anxiety, impulsive behavior, thoughts of suicide and self-harm, interpersonal problems, or problems functioning at work or school. I provide in-person and virtual evidence-based treatments including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help my clients change ineffective behavioral patterns, develop more helpful ways of thinking, and accept difficult realities in order to build the lives they want. I see therapy as a collaboration between client and therapist to work towards their goals in treatment and in life. Through my validating and nonjudgmental style, I am committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based treatment to help you reach your most desired goals and build a life worth living.

My style is collaborative, thoughtful, and supportive - offering space to understand your inner world while moving toward meaningful change in how you relate to yourself and others. I place a strong emphasis on building a supportive, trusting therapeutic relationship, believing that meaningful growth starts with feeling truly seen and understood. My approach is integrative & client-centered, drawing from evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, & Solution-Focused Therapy to tailor our work to your unique goals. Together, we’ll explore practical tools & deeper insights to help you better understand yourself, move beyond self-limiting patterns, & navigate challenges that may be getting in the way of your goals. We don’t like uncertainty. It is tempting to grasp for the certainty of “everything is doomed” or “everything will be ok.” But a part of us remains unconvinced. It is hard to face the truth: I don’t know what is coming, only that my experience will keep changing and eventually end. There are many aspects of our experience that are hard to face. We aren’t meant to do this alone. I partner with my clients to walk together into this wilderness. I offer a kind, curious, nonjudgmental attention, with the intent of helping my clients to sort through thoughts, judgements, reactions, behaviors, and felt experience, so they can learn to care more skillfully for the parts of their experience that are outside of their control and to take decisive action in the areas of their life where they have agency. Over time, this relational practice builds solidity. It loosens the tight grip on “everything is doomed” or “everything will be ok,” and opens up “it will keep changing, and eventually end, and I trust in my capacity to feel and care for my experience, no matter what comes.”

Each of us has the potential to connect with and live from a creative, energized and compassionate center. Once established, we can perpetually draw upon this connection to understand and accept our past, to guide our present, and to embrace our future. With warmth, commitment and respect, and with attention to body, mind, and spirit, I work to help people access the inner resources they need to live with happiness, safety and ease. As a therapist, I meet people where they are. I collaborate with them to create a treatment that is flexible and responsive to their needs and experience, and help guide them toward their stated goals.

It's hard to be successful as a college student when you are constantly worried, have that "sinking feeling" in your stomach, have difficulty managing your time and social commitments. These can be signs of anxiety and I can help with treatment that works. I also treat panic disorders, PTSD and other trauma related challenges. I can help you deal with perfectionism, performance anxiety, creativity struggles, environmental anxiety, gender identity, experience of sexual trauma, and attention related struggles. I also help improve male mental health journeys. My clients note they like my present and focused approach that does not leave them "floundering" in therapy. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you get better faster. I know you already have the capacity and the strength to change, and you are channeling it right now. Even if you don't feel that power we will help you connect to it. I have seen the transformation many times, the freedom and the full engagement in life that can follow after the most distressing anxiety symptoms are under control.

My approach to therapy is guided by the belief that healing and change occur in relation with others. I am committed to meeting people where they are, taking time to learn their unique needs and life experiences, and honoring their own self-knowledge. I strive to create a safe and contained space that fosters exploration and self-actualization. I draw from psychodynamic and relational therapies, while also integrating narrative therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). My style is warm, genuine, and collaborative, and I practice with a queer, feminist, and anti-oppressive lens. I work with adults of all ages to navigate a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, identity issues, life transitions, interpersonal struggles, grief, and loss. I specialize in working with complex and developmental trauma, relationships and attachment, and first-generation challenges and experiences. I have experience working in schools, colleges, and community mental health. My personal and professional experiences have informed my passion for working with individuals impacted by the carceral system. I also find joy in expanding and enriching the therapeutic experience through the use of music, theater, and other art forms.
