Hi! My name is Michelle and I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist. I am currently accepting new referrals. I have over 10 years experience working with children, parents and families. I specialize in relationships between children and parents, biracial parenting, multi-racial children and I enjoy helping family systems navigate daily struggles of living at home during the pandemic. Hi, I’m Coreetha Entzminger, a Registered Psychological Associate with a deep commitment to supporting mental health and wellness for children, families, and individuals from all walks of life. Over the past ten years, I’ve worked as a crisis counselor and child advocate in both nonprofit and private practice settings, helping people navigate everything from trauma and anxiety to life transitions and stress. I’ve always been drawn to this work because I believe in the power of healing, growth, and connection—and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients as they work toward positive change. In addition to my clinical work, I’m involved in several other areas that support mental health awareness and education. I’m a member of the American Psychological Association’s Division 53, which focuses on clinical child and adolescent psychology, and I’ve had the opportunity to contribute to research for both federal and county-level institutions in Washington, D.C. I also teach as an adjunct professor in the psychology department at Myrtle Beach College, where I create course content for undergraduate students. Sharing knowledge and helping others grow—whether in the classroom or in a community workshop—is a big part of who I am. Academically, I earned my Bachelor’s in Psychology from Montclair State University in New Jersey and a Master’s in Psychology from Arizona State University. I also hold certifications in child advocacy and applied behavior analysis, and I’m currently working toward my Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) at California Southern University. When I work with clients, I take a collaborative and compassionate approach. Therapy with me is very much a partnership—we work together to understand what’s going on, where you want to go, and how we can get there. I specialize in treating anxiety, trauma, special needs, stress, and major life transitions, and I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) to help clients better understand how their thoughts and emotions impact behavior. My goal is to create a space that feels safe, affirming, and stigma-free, where you feel supported and empowered to explore, heal, and grow. In our first session, I’ll take time to really get to know you and your story. We’ll talk about your background, what’s bringing you to therapy, and any patterns or experiences that might be influencing your current challenges. From there, we’ll shape each session around your needs and goals, always moving at a pace that feels right for you. I aim to strike a balance between being supportive and gently challenging—because sometimes a little push is what we need to move forward. If you’re thinking about therapy, know that you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I’d be honored to support you on your journey.

I became a therapist to offer the kind of space I often needed growing up, where emotions can be messy, stories are honored, and healing means reclaiming parts of yourself that were silenced. I bring a warm, grounded presence to my work, and collaborate with each client to shape therapy around their pace and needs. I specialize in supporting BIPOC and LGBTQ+ clients navigating anxiety, depression, grief, identity struggles, intergenerational trauma, and the stress of living in systems that weren’t built to support them. As a South Asian therapist, I know what it’s like to feel torn between cultural expectations and your own sense of self. Whether you're questioning your place in the world, or working to feel at home in your body or identity, I offer a space where all parts of you are welcome. I’m not here to fix you or rush you. I’m here to walk alongside you as you build a deeper sense of self-trust, clarity, and possibility. If you're looking for a therapist who sees the full picture, including your inner world and the systems you're navigating, I’d love to connect.

I work best with students who feel stressed, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the next steps in their life—whether that’s managing academic pressure, navigating relationships, or figuring out what comes after graduation. I help students make sense of their experiences, manage stress, and find practical ways to feel more balanced and confident. My sessions are supportive, and collaborative, giving you a space to be heard and explore what matters most to you.

I meet clients virtually to quiet negative self-talk and build resilience in their nervous systems using a patent pending somatic processing tool. With a stronger nervous system, it’s easier to not be overwhelmed, in fact your baseline becomes calm, less triggered, and more balanced. Clients routinely report resolution of panic attacks; resolving the underlying causes of the negative self talk; resolving the root causes of anxiety, depression, rage, and numbness; having better relationships; and understanding their emotions better. This transformative work addresses the nonverbal impact of stressful/traumatic experiences including feelings, sensations, emotions, muscle tension, numbness and dissociation; the areas where talking is not effective. Benefits typically begin with the first session. We use CBD, medical cannabis, or ketamine assisted virtual sessions to activate brain areas that facilitate safely processing emotions, and make new brain cell connections (associated with learning and working around blocks) among many other benefits. Many patients complain about the emotional numbness and other symptoms caused by their psych medications. Because I am a medical doctor, as patients improve I am able to help wean them off of their meds when appropriate. Insurance is not accepted, but sliding scale payments are. We believe that all of us are looking for a sense of fulfillment and well-being in our lives. We experience this well-being as a sense of ease, unrestricted flow of life energy. However, when negative events happen and we perceive ourselves as broken, or not safe, we constrict the flow of well-being, resulting in feelings of pain, fear, anger, grief... The Process Model of therapy helps us to identify our constrictions and release them, allowing our life energy to flow freely again, bringing the sense of relief and re-connection to self, others, and the world around us. Coming into a counseling session is much like going on a tour to explore yourself: how you got where you are today, what you can do to set yourself free, what you can do to change your life. Our counselors are much like guides employed to walk with you on this journey of self-discovery; they invite you to look deeper beyond the story, stay in the present moment and keep the focus on yourself. They are trained to respect, trust, and follow your process into and through your unresolved issues, without judgment or agenda. We are a non-profit and charitable organization incorporated in the state of California since 1982, with a mission to train pre-licenced professionals in the skill and art of psychotherapy. We have many clinicians available to work around your schedule and price range. We are committed to offer therapy to people of all means and backgrounds, and welcome diversity in all its forms.

Welcome! Ahlan Wa Sahlan! I know how difficult it can be to begin this journey, so I'm glad you are here. I focus on providing care for women and femmes, migrants and refugees, children of migrants, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ individuals. I am committed to supporting survivors of traumatic experiences as they navigate their healing journeys. Whether you are coming in with experiences of PTSD, depression, anxiety, OCD, or other trauma-related symptoms, I am delighted to navigate this road with you. I am an experienced psychotherapist with a professional background that includes working with both mental and medical health issues. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches including clinical hypnosis, Internal Family Systems (IFS), cognitive therapy, EMDR, expressive art and brief therapy. I am also trained in Biblical Counseling to provide therapy for those seeking Christian based services. I have also had the privilege to work with individuals, families and groups to provide therapeutic support related to the diagnosis and treatment of cancer, diabetes, heart disease, HIV, AIDS, and other chronic or end of life issues. My experience working with health related issues has helped me develop a more comprehensive and integrative approach to the treatment I provide to my clients. I am also trained in Biblical Counseling to provide Christian based therapy. This is an area of special interest in my practice and the framework from which I draw personal and professional perspective. I help individuals explore and identify their personal belief systems to understand how this might be a significant resource in their own experience. Apart from everything else, a good rapport between client and psychotherapist is essential for therapy to be effective. I believe the level of personal comfort and ease clients have in my office are key elements to the success of therapy. I make every effort to create a secure and trusting environment for my clients. Working together, we can move your life in the direction you desire.
